• activeTab: Enables access to video content in the current tab for activating picture-in-picture mode, video controls, and subtitle extraction. This permission is only active when you interact with the extension.
• commands: Provides customizable keyboard shortcuts for quick access to core features like activating picture-in-picture.
• contextMenus: Adds context menu items for quick access to DualPiP features, including settings, feedback submission. Enables right-click functionality for enhanced user interaction.
• scripting: Essential for injecting necessary scripts to enable video control, subtitle extraction, and barrage (danmaku) processing. This permission allows the extension to interact with video players and implement advanced features like dual subtitle support and video enhancement.
• storage & unlimitedStorage: Used to save user preferences, settings, and cached data. This includes subtitle translations, custom configurations, and user interface preferences. The unlimited storage permission ensures smooth operation even with extensive subtitle caching and user settings.
• offscreen: Enables background processing of video subtitles, barrage (danmaku), and extension configurations. This permission allows the extension to handle complex tasks like subtitle translation and barrage processing without affecting the main browser performance.
• declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess: Manages network requests for translations, subtitles, and barrage (danmaku) content.
• webRequest: Allows the extension to intercept and process network requests related to subtitles and barrage (danmaku). This is crucial for real-time subtitle updates, barrage synchronization, and efficient content delivery.
